Cape completed the interior fitout of Level 4, 12 St Marks Road, Remuera for design specialists, Stack. While this was a new building, many tenants had already moved in, which meant Cape had to complete site works with consideration of existing tenants, with some work only able to be undertaken at specified times. The key feature of this build was the installation of curved T&G panels walls, with each panel having to be hand-glued.

AA Insurance

This was a 4200sqm fitout integrated with the completion of the base-build works, spanning over 3 floors of a brand new building to house over 600 staff.  Each floor consisted of a mixture of solid and glazed partitions, with sliding aluminium framed glass doors, hinged doors and frameless glass pivots. In the reception area, full height timber framed glazed partitions and sliders were a feature, as was the white washed polished concrete and the steel clad reception counter.

There was a large joinery package which had kitchens, utilities, café, break-out spaces and even grandstand seating spread over all floors. The joinery scope also grew considerably towards the very end of the project, meaning a quick turnaround of a number of feature units was required.

Oracle

This project involved a near full floor fitout in the AMP Building in Auckland CBD. The comms room had a substantial air conditioning system to achieve the desired cooling levels which, provided some challenges due to the size of the area and the work required.

A substantial amount of the office space was designed with exposed ceilings which required Cape to prepare the exposed substrate and co-ordinate all services for installation before painting.  This also needed to be co-ordinated with the installation of the full height partitions so services could be run into each room.  Feature acoustic cloud panels were then installed in the open area, to not only create a great aesthetic look but also hide some of the AC units and help with the acoustics.

Winton Partners

New Zealand property managers, Winton required a high-end office fitout in their Viaduct Harbour Ave headquarters. Cape were engaged by Macintosh Harris design to bring their detailed design to life, which included luxury wall and floor finishings.

The brief was the renovation of an old villa to be transformed into a sale suite for a future residential development in the area. Cape partnered with Adrian Nankivel to navigate short time frames and consent processes to create a beautiful open display suite which was still able to showcase the original features of the villa.
